Terms of Use

1. About emdashcms.org
emdashcms.org is an independent, community-operated marketplace for plugins and themes that target EmDash CMS. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the EmDash CMS project or Cloudflare. The marketplace is open-source and runs on Cloudflare's free tier. The source code is available at github.com/chrisjohnleah/emdashcms-org.
2. Acceptance of terms
By using this site — browsing, installing plugins, uploading a bundle, reporting a problem — you agree to these terms and to our Code of Conduct. If you don't agree, please don't use the marketplace.
3. Ownership of your content
You retain full ownership of any plugin, theme, bundle, review, or other content you upload. By publishing a plugin or theme here, you grant emdashcms.org a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, distribute, and display your content as part of the marketplace's normal operation. This licence ends when you ask us to remove the content (or when it's removed under our review policy).
You must have the right to license every file you upload. If you include third-party code, it must be under a compatible open-source licence and that licence must be respected in your bundle.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to upload plugins or themes that:
- Contain malicious code, backdoors, cryptomining, or data exfiltration logic.
- Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Impersonate another person, organisation, or project.
- Are designed to bypass our static scanner or other review gates.
Our full review policy — including the static scanner's ruleset in plain English — is published at /docs/security. Violations may result in the rejection of your bundle, revocation of your plugin, or a ban of your publishing account.
5. No warranty
Plugins and themes on emdashcms.org are provided "as is". We review every version with automated scans and, where budget allows, AI-assisted audits — but we do not execute plugins in sandboxed runtime environments and we cannot guarantee that any published plugin is safe, bug-free, or fit for purpose. Installing a plugin or theme is at your own risk.
emdashcms.org, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from the use of plugins, themes, or the marketplace itself. If you need stronger guarantees, audit the source before installing — every bundle is downloadable and open.
6. Reports and takedowns
Anyone can report a plugin or theme by clicking "Report a problem" on its detail page or visiting
/report/plugin/{id}.
We review reports promptly. For security issues, we may revoke the affected version immediately while
the investigation proceeds.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the marketplace after changes indicates acceptance.
